Week 5 books all share something in common... SEQUENCING!

Two are HUMOROUS! One is a VISUAL FEAST

Can you work out which is which?

This week we are talking about...ellipsis
"a sequence of dots which means something else
will follow"
You might think you know the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, but you might want to think again. In this fairy tale with a twist, it hasn’t rained in days and the king has dictated that something must be done—his royal pinky is getting stinky!
With a little magic from a wizard, young Jack, paired with his pea pod pal, will find a GIANT reason as to why there’s no water left in the kingdom...and prove that size doesn’t prevent anyone from doing something BIG.
A young boy stubs his toe, which leads to a sequence of silly events and one delicious ending.

Let There Be Light combines the love and warmth of Nobel Peace Prize Winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu with the extraordinary talents of bestselling author and illustrator Nancy Tillman. This retelling of the biblical story of creation vividly portrays the wonder and beauty of God’s creation on each of the seven days.
Using Archbishop Tutu’s lyrical text from the Children of God Storybook Bible and Tillman’s remarkable illustrations, Let There Be Light brings the story of creation to life for readers young and old.

Something for everyone this week...

Also, we will open up the Library Courtyard, I'm looking forward to reading under the tree!

Andy and Terry’s amazing treehouse has 13 new levels including a chocolate waterfall, a non-erupting active volcano, an opera house, a baby-dinosaur petting zoo, Andy and Terry’s Believe it or Else! museum, a not-very-merry merry-go-round, a boxing elephant called the Trunkinator.

September AD 81. Flavia and her friends learn of the mysterious and sudden death of the Emperor Titus. Was his death natural? Or was it murder? As the four detectives investigate this mystery, they little dream how much their lives - as well as the future of Italy - will be changed as a result.
Libby Hathorn takes readers on a wonderful  sensory journey through the garden with the children. There is a real feeling of warmth and fun and happiness about the story, with the two children filled with a sense of shared wonder and excitement about their adventures outside.

Grandfather William was throwing me, Geronimo Stilton, a party -- it had been 10 years since I published my first book! He wanted me to write a new book especially for the occasion. Then my laptop was stolen right from under my snout. Cheese niblets, how terrible! Could my friends and I find my computer and print my book all in time for the party?
